Connect. Inspire. Make Visible.
Young ANA is Austria’s nationwide network for early-career neuroscientists – for collaboration, exchange, and bringing neuroscience to the public.
Our mission.
We connect young neuroscientists across Austria, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and champion open science communication.
Young ANA creates spaces for encounters – between research and the public, between the lab and the classroom, between vision and reality.
Together, we shape the future of neuroscience – visible, diverse, and engaged.
Founded during the FENS Forum 2024 in Vienna as the early-career initiative of the Austrian Neuroscience Association, Young ANA started with a simple goal: to warmly welcome young scientists attending the congress and provide opportunities for networking – socially and professionally.
Since then, we’ve grown from a small group of dedicated early-career scientists into a national network shaping workshops, events, and outreach projects across Austria.
Our goals.
Strengthen networking among young neuroscientists across Austria
Organize topic-specific workshops, meet-ups, and online events
Support career planning and the transition into professional roles
Establish regional chapters in Vienna, Krems, Linz, Innsbruck
Host regular nationwide meetings and interdisciplinary exchange formats
Strengthen science communication – especially toward children and teenagers
Impact:
We aim to make neuroscience more visible, foster collaborations, and empower the next generation of researchers.
Call to Action.
